Each summer, San Diego plays host to thousands of comic book, television and movie fans at Comic-Con. This year's event, held July 17-21, 2013, drew more than 130,000 people to the San Diego Convention Center and the Gaslamp Quarter.
Clear Vision had the pleasure of working with the following companies during the convention: HBO Game of Thrones, HBO True Blood, Sega: Rome II and Larabar. Advertisements for each company were placed atop a fleet of taxi cabs and could be seen daily and nightly throughout the downtown area.
HBO focused its ad campaign on two of the channel's hit shows: True Blood and Game of Thrones, both of which hosted panels at Comic-Con. Although Sega's newest video game, Rome II, didn't hit store shelves until September 3, taxi cabs cruised the streets of San Diego with advertisements during the event to reach its core audience prior to the game's launch. Finally, the campaign for Larabar introduced convention attendees to the healthy snack bar alternative.
Clear Vision taxi tops continue to remain one of the best options for Comic-Con coverage due to the limited other out-of-home options in the area. Our taxi tops get the best exposure at the convention and all throughout the Gaslamp Quarter. Clear Vision has sold out their entire taxi top inventory for two years running now. We would like to give a special thanks to those companies and agencies who partnered with us to invade Comic Con and spread their message all over San Diego.
